Textured soy products are usually made from proteinaceous flour from a vegetable source that has been transformed by some of thermal and/or mechanical energy.

It’s a shaped, layered, fibrous and/or expanded product that may be used to extend or replace an animal protein as meat extender, meat analogue and high protein snack.
